✦ Tip — If iPadOS renamed a backup to .txt or .json, INSITE still restores it. If another app re-compressed the ZIP, unzip it in Files and restore the .insite file from 03 Backup.

✦ Tip — Export an archive at the end of every site visit and save it to OneDrive. You can then delete the project from the iPad and restore it any time.

SECTION 09
Best Practices
During a Site Visit
Create the project before you arrive so 📍 can fill in the address.
Add all spaces first, then attach the floor plan and place pins before taking photos.
Use pin labels (5A, 5B, 5C) for sub-areas.
Write Space Notes as you go.
After a Site Visit
Tap ↑ Archive and save to OneDrive or Files before leaving the building.
Share the report PDF from the archive for review.
Delete finished projects from the iPad. Restore the archive if needed.
Storage
Data lives in Safari’s website data for this site. App updates don’t touch it. It’s only at risk if Safari’s website data is cleared, so archives on OneDrive are your main safeguard.
